Friday, August 20, 2010 Day 51
If I had to leave France tomorrow I would be content, as I have seen Monet’s water garden. We boarded a 10:20 train for upper Normandy (we did lower Normandy last weekend) and arrived at Vernon an hour later. A bus met the train and took us on a 20-minute drive to Giverny, Monet’s country home. WOW! Insert your favorite expression of rapture here, whatever it is. I do not have enough words to describe the beauty of the gardens and pond which Money painted again and again and again. It was utterly gorgeous! I took picture after picture, and none of them does it justice.
