After lunch, we struck out for Gare St. Lazare, from which we will depart on Thursday on an overnight adventure. We wanted to get a feel for the station before we catch the train. From there we walked to Parc Monceau, with its Greek colonnades and myriad walking paths. There was a mound near the entrance with steps leading to the crest, but access to it was closed to the public. As we walked around the mound, we could see beehives partially secreted by the rocks at the top. No wonder they don’t want the public up there!
