Church at St. Mere- Église

This charming little church has a paratrooper hanging from it. It was originally put in place many years ago for a D-Day celebration and was meant to last only for the duration of the commemoration. There was such positive reaction that he was left up there. He gets a new parachute every 3-4 months and new clothes every couple of years or so. A special thanks to Richard Welty, whose three photos (this and the two stained glass ones below) I borrowed because ours did not turn out well.
